Eugene Grasset (1845-1917) Grasset moved to Paris from his native Switzerland at the age of 26 where he tried ceramics, furniture design, tapestry and jewelry. In 1877 he turned to graphic design producing everything from postcards to postage stamps. Posters and decorative panels quickly became his mainstay. |
